(Yield: 4 Servings)

Ingredients:
1 bundle Asparagus
1 tsp Sake 
1/3 lb Pork (thinly cut)
1 can Bamboo shoot (drained well)
1 inch Piece of ginger
1 clove Garlic
1 tbsp Chopped green onion
2 tbsps Cooking oil
---Marinade---
1/2 tbsp  Soy sauce
1 tbsp Sake
1 tbsp Cornstarch
1 tbsp Olive oil
---Sauce---
1 cp  Water
1/2 cp Chicken broth
1 tsp Hot chili sauce
2 tbsps Oyster sauce
1/2 tbsp Cornstarch
1 tbsp Sake

Preparation:
1. Cut off and discard the bottom part of the asparagus.  Peel of the hard part of the asparagus then cut into half.

2. Cut pork into thin slices.  In a bowl, marinade pork with sake, soy sauce, cornstarch, and olive oil. 

3. Drain bamboo shoot from can.  Cut ginger, garlic, and green onion into small pieces.  In a bowl, mix sauce.  (see ingredients under sauce above)5.

4. In a frying pan, heat 1 tsp of cooking oil and stir fry asparagus for 1 minute.  Add 1 cup of water, cover and steam asparagus is soft and cooked.  Remove asparagus from pan, drain water, then sprinkle with 1 tsp of sake.  Place on a plate and set aside.

5. Heat 1 tbsp of cooking oil, cook pork for 3-4 minutes.  Add ginger, garlic, bamboo shoot, and green onion.  Stir fry for 1 minute, then add sauce.  Heat to boiling.  Remove and pour over asparagus.   Serve
