Sukiyaki

Ingredients:
---Broth---
1 1/2 cups Dashi broth *
3 - 4 tablespoons sugar *
5 tablespoons soy sauce *
3 tablespoons mirin *
2 tablespoons sake *

750 g flank steak, sliced paper thin
20 green onions
2 bundles Shirataki (devil's tongue noodles)
boiled for 3 min. and cut into three inch lenghts
1 firm tofu, cut into large cubes
1 bunch Shungiku(Chrysanthemum leaves)
Eggs(opional) break an egg into individual serving bowl and lightly whisk.

Preparation:
First, combine broth ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil and set aside

Then Heat the hot plate(you can use a deep pot) Add 2 or 3 slices of meat and vegetables for a minute or so before you add 1/3 of the cooking broth

you can cook meat and vegetables with cooking broth for 3 to 5 minutes.

Dip the food into an indivicual serving bowl containing the whisked egg before eating

Add more food and broth to the pot as the meal progresses. Serve with steamed rice.
